Late Playoff NBA Basketball and things are getting exciting. The Suns and Lakers are all tied up in the West at 2 a piece and the Magic have crawled out of a 3-0 hole to make it 3-2 transforming themselves from scrubs to Clark Kent's. Time out. Really? The presence or absence of glasses makes a person appear as two different people? Anyone got a way to transport me into Metropolis? I got a burglar disguise that would fool supercomputers.
For a fan like me, it's hard not to root for a Suns/Magic NBA Finals matchup. The Lakers won last year and guess who won the year prior. Two historical powerhouse teams with recent championships? Riviting.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, the Suns and Magic share something with the Minnesota Vikings. They all won their last championship, as coincidental as this is, in the same year! Can you believe it?
But cmon, it's hard not to root for the underdogs. I understand that the Magic are the higher seed, but those who've watched the series know who the underdogs are tonight. The NBA Finals between Boston and LA two years ago was awesome, but let's switch things up a bit, ey?
Variety IS the spice of life, right?
