Midday Madness: 08/05/10

Midday Madness on this lovely Thursday (so close to the weekend, so close) to get you through boring lunch.

The Mets just suck, period. They lost again last night, falling further and further out of playoff contention. At least they kept it entertaining though, committing almost as many errors as they had hits. All that was missing was the coach running out and patting the crying Reyes on the shoulder, consoling, "It's not your fault we lost the Little League championship, buddy." Yeah, it is your fault, kid. If the number on Reyes' jersey doesn't switch from "#7" to "E6" by next game, I'm quitting on the season, for real this time.

Hahaha...bahahahahaha... No, seriously, this is like a fine wine, it really just keeps getting better. When is going to be the "tummy ache" excuse? Want a solution? Just tell him he can practice without the conditioning test and see how he acts. When he suddenly loses the soreness in his knee, you know what to do.

Surprise, surprise, another professional athlete reaps the benefits of the law bending its policies for the rich and famous. This goes to show you where sports are going in Amer... wait who? Are you kidding? The law bends even for athletes who haven't been competitive in years? (Zingah! Another win for one of my heroes!)

By the way, I'll be trying to get up a full-er post on the main site this afternoon. Just gotta check if I can fit 'er into my schedule.
