Going Going Back Back to Cali Cali

"Hey Lakers' Fans, juussssst kidding!"

Helloooooo Mr. Jinx!

But three days after the strong outing by the Celtics in Game 2 and Paul Pierce's subsequent proclaimation to Lakers' fans that the NBA Finals would not be returning to LA this year, Pierce's comment still has potential, even after the Celtics got whooped last night at home.

Problem for Pierce is, if his comments come true, although the NBA Finals would not return to LA, the Lakers would have no problem finding something to take up the Celtics unused plane seats to LA. In fact, the biggest problem for the Lakers would be finding a way to attach another finger to Phil Jackson's hand to fit all his rings.

If I were Pierce, I'd be trying to find any silver lining right about now.

Sure does make you feel better on a rainy day, am I right?

To be fair, Pierce had a right to talk smack. If it wasn't for Ray Allen's record 8 3 pointers Rajon Rondo's triple double Paul Pierce's mediocre 10 pts, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in Game 2, the Celtics would have been doomed!

Now the Celtics need to focus hard on forgetting stupid comments winning Games 4 and 5 at home. As we saw in the home court advantage analysis, the lower seed wins 73.7% of their games at home. Combine that with the Lakers typically being fantastic at home, and you've got a crucial Game 4 and 5.

Need a pick-me-up, Pierce? Start listening early to your warm up song for Game 4 and 5.
